My name is Hilda Rella. I am the onsite Owner / Director of Early Years preschool and child care.
I left the corporate world 22 years ago when my younger child was only 3 years old and started my own business in our beautiful hometown of Denville. Starting my own business has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I was able to have both of my children with me when they were preschool-aged of which was important to me. But I also the distinct pleasure and opportunity to play a small role in so many children’s milestones over the years. I am truly grateful for that experience.
Throughout the years I have been blessed. I have had the opportunity to engage with preschool children and their families on a daily basis. Parents- teacher dialogue is such of important part of the program. I take great pride in knowing that our center is one that strives for excellence and quality in child care while promoting a nurturing and positive childhood experience.
At Early Years, we understand the importance of an early childhood education and the impact that it has on a child’s development. A positive experience plays a critically important role in their development as is sets the stage on their future growth factors, leading to success in school and in life. Lastly, I am a believer in and fully encourage parents to be active communicators in an effort to achieve our shared goals and priorities.
During my personal time, I enjoy reading, playing with my dog Lulu and at home cooking with my husband. We look forward to the weekends to meet with friends over a nice meal and spending time with our own children.
I hope that you would like to learn more about our program and join our Early Years family. Thank you for your interests and I am looking forward to meeting you and your child.
My name is Miss Janet and I am the Pre-K teacher at Early Years.
I have lived in Denville all my life and in fact I attended kindergarten right next door at Lakeview School. As long as I can remember, I have had the desire to share my days with children. While a young girl in high school, I cared for five young siblings daily.
Early in my career I worked for a very large corporation while I was beginning to raise my three children. When my youngest was three years old, I decided to work part-time to allow me a better work-life balance. Then I realized that working with children was a passion of mine. I began working at Early Years when my youngest child attended preschool at Early Years. I have been here for 21 years! What I like to most about our program is that it is small school. I have had the opportunity to get to know each child at the school whether they are in my own class or in a different classroom. You truly get to know every child and I feel that the school is like our extended family.
My recipe for a balanced life is; my family of which includes my daughter, her husband and their two girls, my son and his wife and my youngest son. Not to forget my fur babies; a dog, two cats and two guinea pigs. My friends color my world. Sprinkle in my days is the love for baking, which leads to the need for more walking and for longer periods of time. I feel happiest when I can be creative of which comes to life in my classroom with the children. I enjoy gardening, reading and the ocean. My heart is full!
My name is Miss Amanda, and I am the Teacher in the 2 ½ to 3 ½ years old classroom.
I have been with Early Years for nearly 9 years now. I joined the Early Years family following my Graduation from Morris County Vo-Tech, where I was part of the Child Related Careers program. As you may be able to tell, I have been working with children for quite a large part of my life! As well as teaching, I am also currently enrolled in school at William Paterson University, where I will be graduating with a master’s degree by the end of 2022 or early 2023, following the completion of my thesis. Between work and school, I do not have much free time to myself, but it will be worth the time investment when I finally have my degree in hand!
I like to think of my classroom as my second home, and I always hope that the children in my class feel the same way! My favorite part of teaching young ones is to see each one of them improving their confidence throughout the year as they learn and grow. I also absolutely love to see the little light bulbs in their heads turn on when they finally grasp something that they did not understand before! My favorite thing to teach my students is all about their feelings, which is something we talk about every morning in circle time. Their explanations of how they feel each day and why make my heart melt into the sweetest puddle! Overall, I love being a teacher, coming to work every day, and being a part of the Early Years family. I hope to one day meet your “little love-bug” as I like to call my students!
Love, Miss Amanda.
My name is Miss Allyssa and I am a teacher at Early Years.
I have been working with children of all ages and abilities for 14 years. It has been such a wonderful learning experience and it keeps every day fun and interesting! I absolutely love working with preschool aged children because they are so inquisitive and they always bring a fresh perspective, which is something as adults we tend to lack. I think that there is something we can all learn from children, and I learn something new every day, whether it be about the world or myself.
In my free time I enjoy going biking, hiking, camping, and studying all sorts of plants. I love to be out in nature and I try to share that love with the children when on nature walks by teaching them about the earth, flowers, and animals all around them. I also enjoy traveling abroad and exploring new places!
